Sundays
by: Karen Jones
Vague Sundays
Lazy eyed and shiftless
Drifting face skin
Slips from idle bones
And the spine succumbs
Warm knuckles twist
Into wincing pulp
As light filters through
cockscomb blinds
and toes curl to grip
the tired earth.
